How to Resolve “User is Already Logged in”
This article will explain what to do when encountering a “User is Already Logged in” prompt.
These are steps for the administrator to facilitate if the specific user cannot log out of Unity® Accounting. To resolve this, we will be covering the following steps:
- Switching to Multi-User Mode
- Navigating to User Accounts Menu
- Locating User / Force Logging Out
- Switching Back to Single-User Mode
Switching to Multi-User Mode
Steps:
- Click on File
- Click on Switch to Multi-User Mode
Navigate to User Accounts
Steps:
- Click on Maintenance
- Click on User Accounts
Locate User / Force Logging Out
Steps:
- On the bottom left, navigate to List of logged-in users
- Click on List of logged-in users
- Scroll through the list to locate the specific user
- Click on the down arrow
- Click on Reset
Tip - While in the User Accounts window, you can click Export to CSV to extract a spreadsheet of all your current users and usernames to keep on file.
Switching Back to Single-User Mode
After the user has been forced to log out, the Administrative User can switch back to Single-User Mode.
Steps
- Click on File
- Click on Switch to Single-User Mode
