1. INSTANT FINANCIAL INSIGHTS

Instant Financial Insights

The most notable change is the introduction of a new feature that provides a summary of financial information on all matter types right on the Overview page. You can now access crucial financial details as soon as you open a file, enabling you to make informed and timely decisions.

The following are the types of financial insights you can expect within these matter types:

Custom Matters: 

  • Total Invoice(s)
  • Balance Owing
  • Received on Account (General)
  • Fees
  • Additional Charges (AB)
  • Disbursements

Purchase Matter

  • Closing Funds
  • Mortgage Funds
  • Funds from Client(s)

Sale Matter

  • Closing Funds
  • Paid to Discharge
  • Funds to Client(s)

Mortgage Matter

  • Mortgage Funds
  • Paid to Discharge
  • Funds to Client(s)

2. LAUNCH UNITY® ACCOUNTING FROM UNITY® PRACTICE MANAGEMENT

Unity Accounting Launch

Unity® Practice Management now provides a simple and easy method for launching Unity® Accounting directly from the web application. Click on the “Accounting” tab on the main menu, then hit “Launch Application” to open your Unity® Accounting application.

Additionally, if you do not have the Unity® Accounting installed, they can contact the Dye & Durham Sales team directly from the application to learn more.

 

3. UNITY® PRACTICE MANAGEMENT FOR BC CUSTOMERS:

Unity® Practice Management now offers a new (limited) account type for the Province of British Columbia market. BC Customers will be able to access features such as creating Custom Matters and Opportunities. This is a stepping stone in anticipation of handling various matter types in the future.

4. UNITY® LENDER CENTRE BRANDING

 

Unity Lender Centre in-app

The "Unity® Lender Centre" rebrand is now consistent across the application. The logos, dialogue titles, messages and other references to "Assyst Real Estate" and "Assyst Payout and Discharge" for Mortgage Instructing and Payout and Discharge integrations have been updated to Unity® Lender Centre.

 

5. UPDATES TO UNDERLYING TECHNOLOGIES & OTHER UPDATES

We made significant upgrades to the underlying technologies for Unity® Practice Management. This includes major technology upgrades to Java and Apache Tomcat. These enhancements will support future changes, improve reliability, and increase the security of the Unity® Practice Management application.

We also addressed various bug fixes and made changes to align with previous legislative changes.
